Does online psychotherapy work differently to phone therapy?
The sessions often flow differently when conducted over the phone compared to zoom. The benefit of zoom or online based sessions is that the physical presence of someone is emulated which many can find more beneficial. The downside is that this can be a distraction for some obsessive or socially anxious clients, as they then often overly check their own appearance.
The most important part is to do the exercises in between sessions in order to reinforce more beneficial ways of being.
